Preheat oven to 350°. Then line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Using a mixer cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs, almond extract and vanilla extract. Mix util well combined
In a separate bowl whisk together the flour and baking powder. Slowly incorporate into the wet ingredients until combined.
Roll the dough into small balls. ( About 1/4 cup of dough per ball). Then use a small drinking glass to slightley flatten them.
Bake for 9-10 minutes, then allow them to cool on the cookie sheet.
Using a mixer cream the butter until smooth. Slowly mix in the powdered sugar, sour cream and almond extract until smooth.
Scoop 1/4 cup of frosting into a seperat bowl, mix in a couple drops of orange food coloring. Transfer to a zip block bag or pipping bag, make a very small cut at the end of the bag and set frosting aside. You will use this for the nose.
Spread white frosting on the still slightly warm cookies. Allowing the frosting to slightly melt giving a smooth finish. Use the cookies for eyes, orange frosting for the nose and chocolate chips for the mouth.
These cookies are stored in the fridge and are served chilled. You can take them out 10-20 minutes prior to serving. You can freeze these for up to 3 months.
